Banned Cal. Kings Question

black_wolf Apr 28, 2007 01:15 PM

So I've been looking at some of the pics people have been posting of their banned kings and they look so much better than what they got for sale around here. The black and white ones. The ones here are off white with brown-ish black. The clean black and white is what gets my attention. Anyways...
Do they make good beginner kings? If not then what are a few other to think about? Is taming, care, and handling pretty much the same as corn snake?
thanx ^_^

What you want is a "Desert Phase" banded king - they are high contrast black and white.

Not to be confused with Desert Kingsnake (though those are really neat too) - desert phase california kingsnake is what you want.

Excellent beginner snake.
