Jackson - shedding

iso Aug 14, 2003 12:06 PM

Hello all.

I appreciate all the help you have given me over the last couple of weeks.

anyhow - two things:

My jackson just finished his first shed. so beautiful! However between his horns - there is still some skin left. Is that common? I figure he cant just get it himself...should i get in there with a wet q-tip or something and try to get it out of there? Or would the stress caused to him be too great?

----------------

How often should a 7mo old jack shed? He eats regularly - gets misted and stays at a good humidity level...deficates every day and it looks healthy. Just curious.

thanks a bunch

It is common that they usually do this. It means the temp. or the humidity is not exactly right. I a wet q-tip would be fine. The chameleon is already stressed from shedding, but yeah it would probably stress him out more.
