Beginner Question

MisLegend Aug 14, 2003 12:24 PM

I'm planning on getting some arrow frogs at the Daytona show this weekend. I've been reading up on them and I have most of the info I need. We're planning on having a 10 gal setup.

My question is, are these frogs pretty territorial? (I know the females can be.) And is it ok to just have one frog in a smaller enclosure by itself, or do they prefer to live in groups? We're not interested in breeding and we're going to try to get them as babies.

Thanks

Keeping them in a group of 1 male and 1 female would be fine in a 10 gal. enclosure. One thing that is frowned upon is keeping two different species or color morphs together. They will hybridize and that is not a good thing since most would prefer to keep blood lines pure. I will be at Daytona and if you need any help let me know maybe we could meet up and I can help you pick a good frog that is healthy. Thanks
