Some new pics

flavor Apr 29, 2007 01:36 AM

I snapped a few pictures today and since I haven't posted anything in a while, I thought I might share them. Hope you likes.

This is an '06 male with quite a bit of orange.

'06 female "double het". One of the prettier animals from her clutch.

This is "Mars". He's pretty special because he is the result of a cross between two het for hypo animals that are cousins. The dams on either side are normal animals, completely unrelated. He is the only hypo to ever have been produced from such a pairing and the most genetically diverse hypo of the EBV line. He was the only hypo in a very small clutch. A truely unique animal.

Here's Mars again with his future mate, Minerva (top). Minerva has a few sibs and half-sibs out there but she really stands out colorwise. I adjusted the contrast and the brightness on these photos but only to get them as accurate as I could. She really is that color!

Little OT but I'm obsessed with chondros lately. This one is from Greg Maxwell's 2006 Merauk outcross x Pepper clutch. It's right in the middle of its color change. Some crazy looking animals have come from this pairing.

Thanks for looking!

Beautiful snakes! Those Hypos are awesome! I would love to have a hypo or two, but they are way out of my price range right now. Perhaps in a few years I be able to pick one up.

Thanks, I really take a lot of pride in the hypos. I agree that they're pricey. Unfortunately, there still arent that many of them. Certainly, they will come down in price, but I don't think we'll see much of a drop for 4 to 6 years.

Sweet pics Mike, Minerva is off the charts, I've been there and seen her, WOW only begins to describe her!!

How's my girl coming along? Now I not only have pacing in my room but also long distance pacing as well. OK, not so long distance but I wouldn't want to walk that far

Is that one of your Chondro's? Does not look like any I saw a while back, but that would have been before it's change.

Thanks Dave,

So far so good with your snake. Still looks big and still off feed.

Yes, that's one of my baby chondros. When you were here, she was a deep burgundy color.
