Red Lights...

MidnightFalcon Aug 14, 2003 12:48 PM

I was just curious, but I were to put a red light on my cage would that lead to brumation...

Also, my male has been sleeping for the past week and wont come out... any suggestions as of why?

Why would a red light lead to brumation? I've never heard of any connection between the two.

Have you lowered the temperature to make your male sleepy? Is there another lizard in the same cage that isn't sleepy? If you haven't lowered the temp, is he sick? Maybe a vet check is needed.

Well, 'eh.. I know with some reptiles red lights seem to be darker which would lead to sleeping.. I haven't checked the temps recently, I don't think they're lower because my female is out and about.
