Can't upload pics???....

-ryan- Apr 29, 2007 03:39 PM

I'm trying to upload some pics of some of my torts (the two russians I've been raising from hatchlings with no UVB). It said that I need to resize my pictures....how do I do that?

Thanks in advance.

You can use a free photo viewer such as Iranview to resize your photos.

I'm bad with pictures, so I'm not going to bother with it right now. But if you want me to send you the pics I was talking about, hit me up on an email.

I'm sorry for making waves. I'm just saying that they do just fine without UV.

Anyways, you've caught me at a bad time in my life, so I'll disappear into oblivion until the eggs are hatching.

Sorry you're going through a bad time. I've found the easiest way to reduce pictures is with a bit of free software. If you click on the link below, in the right hand column there is a link for the image resizer. If you download that, then when you want to send a picture, you go to your pictures folder, click on the picture you want, and then right-hand click and a menu will come up. Click on Resize pictures and a box comes up where you select a size (usually 'Small' is already ticked). Once 'Small' is selected just click on OK and a duplicate picture of the one you selected appears in your folder (sometimes next to your original picture and sometimes at the end) with the same title but with 'small' in parenthesis in the title. That is the picture you attach to your email. My instructions have been a little long-winded but it's actually really easy and the pictures will only take up a few kb of space on your computer and you can send and receive them much faster.
