Hard Board

Severa Apr 29, 2007 09:58 PM

I am building a rack for my hatchlings using sterilite tubs. I wanted to use hard on the shelving and the snakes would have direct contact to the smooth surface side of it. I know some things off gas and I wanted to make sure that this stuff doesn't. It smells alot like the peg board which I am inclined to think that it is the same stuff, just hole less. Does anyone know how safe Hard board is?
Thanks in advance,
Severa

I wouldn't eat it!

But unless you got it right out of the factory, its cured and is an inert product. Safe for use.

However even the smooth side is vunerable to moisture. Might want to coat it.
