Bad news.

Well, thanks to everyone for all of the nice emails, and responses below. It seems as though the method used for relieving the "hard yolk belly" was a success. Today however, I made a fatal mistake. I felt that one of the babies who was nearly fully recovered needed some kind of nourishment, and had refused food yesterday, and this afternoon, so I tried to pinky pump it(something I had done hundreds of times in my colubrid days).
The tube went the wrong direction. It was a lot easier to tube them the mineral oil when they were knocking on deaths door. He fought the pinky tube, and aparently I put it in the lungs. In a matter of seconds he was limp. I turned him upside down, and tried to rub the stuff out, stopping every few seconds to try to get him some oxygen. I am sure it would have looked silly to someone looking over my fence to see me,giving mouth to mouth to a baby boa, with rat blood on my mouth...anyway, I am bummed all to hell, and probably wont be posting anything for a while. Thanks again for all of the support. It's a shame to have gone so far, and to let it all slip away with one push of a syringe.

Hey Davey, very sorry to hear that. You win some, you lose some. Concentrate on those that you win and learn from those that you lose.

How old were these babies?

That just sucks Davey. I was so bummed when I read your post, I don't even know what to say man. I am very saddened to hear that news.
