What would happen if I bred a male Redtail Boa with a Ball python or would that never happen. Any input appreciated.

As impossible as this SEEMS... I would be hard-pressed to say it absolutely cannot happen. If we can cross lions with tigers, whales with dolphins, etc....
I just saw a sheep on the news that had 90% human DNA but still looked like a sheep. I'm just saying that strange things do happen.
... there is a difference between "breeding" and genetically creating.
There are ways to make things within a laboratory environment that simply are not possible through normal reproductive combinations.
I would say that chances of getting viable offspring from livebearing and egglaying crosses is very to infintessimally small.
Sean.
it would not shock me. Some of these hybrids have left me scratching my head.

In order for an animal to make viable offspring, they must share the same genus.
Lions: Panthera Leo
Tigers: Pantera Tigris
They share the same genus, hence they can Hybridize.
