sunfire hets.....

sneakyfree Apr 30, 2007 10:13 AM

pic of a hatchling out of one of the first cb sunfire males from the original '04 bob clark clutch, and my big purple albino female.
for some reason all the sunfires came out super reduced compared to the father...many even lack the typical white spots of retics on the sides for 60% to 90% of their body!
also, many are bright orange from their head to the tail with significantly reduced neck patterning, unlike only having significant orange near the tail like the father...my friend still thinks some genetic freak chromosomal thing happened and we got some supersunfires out of a heterozygous male....i wish! lol
still, imagine what these guys will look like after a few years of selective breeding in captivity!

Man oh man, Grant, those are just REALLY nice looking Sunfires, and het Albino to boot! Congrats on those. We produced one Sunfire that looks pretty close to that, but it's not a het Albino. Very nicely done!

that's very humbling coming from you patrick, especially since you guys at PP have probably hatched out more sunfires than the rest of the world combined, but whatever man! you guys rule the retic world as far is i'm concerned! we are all like ropes on the goodyear blimp compared to you! HATS OFF TO THE KINGS AT PREHISTORIC!!!

Its hard to tell by your pic, what color is the stripe on that animal? it looks purple or lavender! Big Jim

the tail is bright orange....like typical sunfires, only much thicker throughout the length of the snake clear from the head to the tip of the tail...most sunfires i have seen typically only have that kind of orange coloration near the tail.
