What do you do for a respiratory problem

bmulcahy Apr 30, 2007 11:48 AM

I live on Long Island and have not been able to find a herp vet I like. I have a corn snake that is breathing through his mouth a lot(very heavy) and it is very obvious that something is wrong. I will take him to the vet I have used a few times and I am not impressed with. What should I look for in his doagnosis? What should his medicine be?

Thanks for any thouhgts!

Brian

You wont be disapointed with Dr Monacco. He is a herper and unlike most vet's he know alot about caring for reptiles. He works closely with the Long Island Herp Society (LIHS) and he is a good guy..

If there is RI then he will probably give you some Baytril to give to your corn. It's not hard to administer and the Vet should show you how anyway.
