Sounds like a great trip!!...lovely racer!! ..is this a named sub-species of Coluber constictor?? or a regional variation maybe??..anybody ??

its Culuber constrictor mormon the Western yellow bellied racer

Oh yes..I see ...I'm so used to seeing 'Clouber constrictor' being black in colour!,that it threw me slightly!!
