Northern California

Went for a walk Sun eve. flip a few boards and found a nice Western Yellow Bellied Racer. Took it back home for pictures, and then returned it for release Mon. eve. It took a while to settle down for pict., but once it did, it wasn't to bad. Also found a baby Ringneck that we released right away.

Thanks for the pictures. Brings back wonderful memories of about 45 years ago when I used to catch those in the Bay Area. I'm in So. Cal now. Red racers have replaced them.

Thanks for posting the pictures. Racers are beautiful snakes; highly underrated in my opinion, and increasingly uncommon in Northern California. I've only seen two or three in the last five years.

That goes for me to. But it seems I see at least one D.O.R every year.
