What species of toad is this?

AVALover5498 May 01, 2007 05:04 PM

I picked this toad up at Cave Creek in AZ yesterday. Could you please identify it for me....? I know my camera sucks BADDDDDDDDDDDDD but it's all I can do for now. The most prominant feature on this bufo is loads of tiny orange spots covering it's entire back. I know it's not much but I hope it will work for now...... Oh and it's only the size of a penny. It had just lost it's tail when I picked it up....Oh and eats like a pig.:P I'm hoping it's an Bufo Alvarius but if you guys can't Identify it for me I guess time will tell.

Thanx everyone,

Tiny orange spots. Probably Red-spotted Toad (Bufo punctatus). Try researching that one online.
