Do you use the Nikon D80 as your ditital? Is the 10 pix. count good enough for the super close ups? Thanks Dan

Hi Daniel,

I dont use the D80, but the D50. It is only a 6mp and it is excellent for closeups. If your main concern is close-ups the best thing you can do for yourself is purchase a good macro lens. Megapixels are nice to have when you need to crop down pictures significantly, but if you want to do it the best/right way, you need to fill the frame with the desired subject from the start, not crop it out later. With a macro lens you can achieve this.

I'd reccomend the Nikon 60mm, Tamron 90mm, or Nikon 105mm VR.

These (semi-randomly picked) shots were taken with my D50 and Sigma 18-50 2.8 lens, SB-800 flash pointed towards the ceiling bouncing the flash back down to the boa (softens it)
