Size difference in Nelsoni Pair

z10silver May 01, 2007 11:54 PM

Hello, I have a pair of albino Nelsoni in which the male is a bit smaller than the female. Will this be a problem when I try to breed them? He weighs about 220 grams and the female I am not sure of as my scale only goes up to 250 grams.

-Thanks,
Zach

No problem at all! Size differences are pretty common in nature. I've had small male Nelson's successfully breed females that were significantly larger.

Good luck!

Some day I may put together a article and submit it.

Thanks Shannon!

Are you sure you have enough photos of your stuff for an article? (Just kidding, of course.)
I bet you could offer quite a bit of insight to reptile keepers who read that magazine.
