Hello,
I just wanted to get anyones opinion about whether or not you think feeding rodents to snakes that have been gassed by CO2 (Carbon Dioxide) is safe for the snake or not.

Matt,
..It is safe. Carbon Dioxide does not "poison" the rodents. It kills them by displacing the air in the container they are gassed in so that the rodents suffocate from lack of oxygen.

Not to sound like a broken record, but its totally safe. C02 doesn't cause death by the ingestion route, just inhalation. Someone may have information to contradict that though. Plus I don't think it lingers or sticks to the rodents enough to cause harm or be in toxic enough numbers to harm your boas. Also, I'm pretty sure it can only be solid in its "frozen" state. BEEN doing it for years it is 100% safe.i raise and buy rabbits from day old to full grown and made my own co2 chamber.rubber maid tub and you can buy a canister of co2 from nexair.Remember co2 is what makes our soda pops pop.we drink everyday.ill get 30 or 40 and gas um wait 5 min. bag um freeze um.
