So a few days ago lets say last saturday i went to a reptile show in hamburg pa ( i go there all the time )

i have 2 lovely leopard geckos .. -

anyways i decided i wanted to get 2 new ones becuase i think there just that awesome to watch and i think there cool to have .

but i bought 2 new leos from the vender reptle addicts 35 dollars a peice . so 2 geckos 70 dollars .. ( ive already had there tanks set up seprate for them to come home in

and there lighting and heating is normal tank 88-90 degrees.. and there cool side 60-70 degrees ..
they both have there tub humid hides and a hot hide and cool hide along with there pure calcuim dish and water( both in different 10 gallon tanks ( sence there new ) quaintine them
there substrate is tile ( one tank has sand im working on takeing that out though ... asap sand is there becuase her tank is too hot on just tile i need to buy a reostat for that tank ( and my others )
i havent measured them but they seem to be 3-4 inches long and look pretty good shape as far as being active and silly goes
there 9 months old the guy said too

i tryed to feed them sunday morning becuase sence i brough them home i know they get stressed easy and i wanted them to get use to there new home alitte before feeding
but its been about 4 days now and im getting alittle worried becuase there not eatting like they should im feeding them crickets coated with pure calcuim
( i forgot to ask they guy what they been eatting ) .. ive tryed to put some cricket guts on there lips too they both like it and lick it off but they dont seem interested in eatting them yet
im going to try small mealies hopfully soon too
and see if that works
any suggestions ? feel free to babble or spill out info i am missing or forgot
becuase im really interested in leopard geckos
one more question can anyone tell me what a luesticic ? leopard gecko is ? like gentics from what parents or morph they come from thanks again

Funny, but ok first dont bother them, smearing stuff on the lips might not allways help and could prolong stress. I would actualy say to try and gently hand feed them, but keep it calm and to a minimum. Dont stress your self out and get persistant.

Second give it a bit more time and try to experiment with different foods.

can you post pics so I can see the weight of them? I wanna see how fat they may be for guys that young, it may be a addiction if they are pretty girthy. By that I mean the vender, if he raised them his self may have been power feeding it mostly waxies to get them up to size for good measurments and boost a sale.

I think you should try different foods, and contact the breeder if you can. If you know what they used to eat, it'll make it easier to get them eating again. I agree that you should continue to leave them alone, and not rub the food on thier lips.

For the one with the too-hot warm side, that could provent him from eating. You should fix your heat situation ASAP.

As for the "leucistic" morph, it's actually a misnomer. Patternless geckos were called leucistic at first, and then when Blizzards came along they were called leucistic as well. There is some debate as far as Blizzards are concerned, but there really is not a leucistic morph. You'll see both Patternless and Blizzards called leucistic to this day.

It looks to me that you've got 1 Blizzard (the gray one) and one Patternless (the yellow one). They're totally different morphs, so breeding them together would give you normal looking babies that are het for both traits.

I hate when they do that with the paternless.

Those guys look good! I like them that paternless seems a bit younger I can still se some markings, to the experience that I have by the age you have stated it should all be gone.

Nice seeing some one in the area, probably bumped heads before.

and thanks i was kinda mad when i learned they said that about the patternless too but when i bought them i checked to see if there tails were plump enough and if they looked healthy

im sure they will be fine , they just need alittle more time to ajust

Acclimation to the new home is all they need they look prety good. I just hate when people call pat-less Leucistic, it has no aperance of a Leuci what so ever and I had a feww Leuci animals allready.

Used to deal with Mike all the time, I cut back after that idoit Marc started working there. Used to get my pniheads for my Darts there but they got to old and past away, I also got lots of good stuff off of Mike while he had the Franklin street shop.

They canned him cause he thought he can run the place but even tho Todd and Mike showed him a few good things he still couldnt do crap.
