Staying On The Cool Side?

For the last 2 days my ball has been staying in his hide box on the cool side of the tank. is this normal?

So long as your temps are good and you provide a hot side of 85-90 this is fine. My female does this a lot. It's what they do, thermoregulation. So if your temps are good don't worry he will use the other hide when he needs to.

I agree.....just as in the wild...if the snake has both areas avaibable with similar hides in both areas they will pick what they like and need. My snake stays in his warm hide non stop but my milk snake never goes in the warm side....i know they are a big difference but it was an example
