anyone ever feed mealworm beetles to herps?

usually they wont eat them at all. They arent very healthy I dont think either.

I just wanted to know if they are edible, I think they super worms beetles are toxic? Well I was thinking more as a snack for my snapping turtle.

Leos won't eat them, appaerntly they produce some nasty taste when they are beetles and can even turn a leo off mealies so not a good idea to try, but I don't know about turtles. Maybe ask on the turtle forum(I assume there is one).

In fact, if they could be fed a diet of just the beetles, I think they'd be in heaven. I've never seen them go this crazy over anything before. Must be pretty good.

although, I have to admit, I've not had the guts to try them for myself.

Mine do as well. Have you ever seen your beardies go after a fly? That is funny!. Beardies will also eat ants.
