I'll ask again. Do all black pastels have clear bellies?
Thanks in advance.

You made 'em first, tell us!

According to SATANs book, the cinnamon and black pastel are similar snakes from 2 diff bloodlines, kinda like a graziani pastel vs. a NERD pastel.

"The belly is also an unpatterned, creamy white. [...] Cinnamon Pastels are extremely similar to the Black Pastel, but possess a greater intensity of reddish-brown pigment. The Black Pastel seems to lack the red and the head may appear more black than brown."

So I think your answer is yes, they *should* have a clear belly.

If I'm wrong someone please tell me!

I would have to disagree I think every black pastel I have seen has more of a red hue to the color of the actual pattern and the cinnamon is more of a lighter color. Thats why I prefer the blacks over the cinnys but I do own a male cinny and a male black. But its only my opinion, and you know what they say about opinions. LOL

I have a male breeder cinnamon that has a solid cream belly not even a fleck of black, i also have a female with a pretty clean belly. But i do have 4 babies from 06 that all have speckled bellies.
I will try and take pics of them tonight.
Thanks Kim

Well I don't have a black pastel - but since Cinnys are a variation of the same morph (supposedly) here is my Cinny Belly:

Hope it helps....

Sorry I haven't been on this week, been way too busy. But to answer your question, they do have a patternless belly. They have a little pattern on the sides but still a patternless belly. The pics of the Cinny's here are very close to what a Black Pastels belly looks like. They are a variation of the same mutation. Hope this helped, have a great weekend!, Brian (BHB)
