Ahhhh, that good old after dinner cruise

Herping here in Central Florida is kind of off to a slow start this year due to lack of rain. That said, I thought I might take a quick poke around the neighborhood to see what was out and about. Two red rats within about 20 minutes. The one in the pic was a bit over 4 feet with not a scale out of place.

Cool. I'm heading out west next month to do some herping, and have heard the same thing about the lack of rain. It's nice to be able to find stuff even when conditions are less than optimal.
