animal plastics question

i just got the AP economy rack and was woundering what the slot in the back of each of the shelves where for? is this where the probe will be placed?? or where else should i put the probe?
i have the helix thermostat.
all with input please respond

I have 4 of their racks that use heat cable. The cable is inserted into an upside down T slot at the back of each shelf. I'm guessing that the shelves for the economy racks and the standard racks are the same.

Is it the slot perpendicular to the back of the rack? That one is for the probe. If it's the slot that runs parallel to the back that's for the heat cable.

Good choice with the AP rack.
