Superdwarfs hatching

dbherp May 03, 2007 06:25 PM

I had two babies coming out of their eggs this morning so I took a few shots. This was my first attempt at breeding retics so I never posted pictures of the process so I didn't jinx myself. I've got copulation, ovulation and egg laying photos I'll probably post later. If I'm not mistaken, these are the first F2 CBB Superdwarfs in the US. The adult pair bred for me at 30 months of age. She dropped 18 eggs that appeared good but only nine candled fertile. Eight went bad immediately with a ninth lingering and eventually going bad a few weeks ago. On to the photos...

Congrats! Those should be some tiny babies. You'll have to let us know the weight on them when they are out.
