The new Boa mutation that has been proven at pk reptiles? I would just like to say forget about breeding two motleys together to get a black boa. The melanistic gene has been proven co dom not just restricted to being linked with the anery gene! The coolest thing I have seen this year even though it happened last! I cant wait to see this gene crossed out!

Congrats on all the litters this year!

That is sick looking (the babies). I saw the female last year and Pete said she was born like a regular Anery and then changed, looks like the same thing happened here. So I guess that's 4 more morphs to add to the list, the Melanistic and 3 designers!

The guy who sold her to pete must be kicking himself. I have heard the same story, regarding this gene and it origins. I find it one of the most unique stories that I have heard. A gene that turns up as the individual ages and was originally assumed to be o form of anerytherism? Very interesting I can wait to see the project as it progresses.

I love super motleys as well and the process to get them is different, but this shade of black is so intense and it shows up so slowly. It is in a league of its own. The babies are a step away from producing pure white boas in a year or two.
