Triple hets to breed next year...

Kerby... May 03, 2007 07:20 PM

This is one of my males (I am male heavy-only one female in the clutch). All are banded except this one, half stripe and half banded.

Triple hets: albino/lavender/hypermelanistic

Did you breed a Blizzard to a Lavender in order to make that?

Kerby... May 04, 2007 08:05 PM

Yes I bred a male Lavender to a female Blizzard to get the triple hets.

Here they are breeding, some clutch pics, and then some pics as they get older to show the change in color.

Those brown & yellows are sweet. Great pix. Thanx for sharing.

The color on those is interesting...not quite normal.

I find it very neat that many of your multiple het projects dont look quite normal. I wonder why?

Kerby... May 05, 2007 12:54 PM

Most of the time when I make single hets the cal kings are normal looking (unless I used an aberrant cal king)...but when I produce double hets/triple hets....some come out weird looking. Of course a lot of these are still growing to be breeders and it will be interesting to see what they produce.
