The Normals from the Arabesque Litter

RyanHomsey May 03, 2007 08:47 PM

There ended up being 7 normals in that litter. A final count of 4 arabesque albinos, 4 arabesque het albinos, 2 albinos and 7 normals. All of these guys are 100% het albino 50% possible het stripe. I thought they turned out pretty nice, what do you think?

See this thread for pics of the rest of the litter

very nice looking hets. I especially like the first two and the arabesque head marking.

Congrats again.

Man Ryan, you got a great litter or two or three. Those hets are nice and clean. Pretty saddles and cool head markings. , David

Wow! Those are some extremely contasty babies. Looks like a few of them mantained the head pattern of the arabs as well. All of the boas in that litter ended up being jewels.

Very nice pics... What are you using for a backdrop???

RyanHomsey May 04, 2007 12:54 PM

I am using one of Jeff Ronne's rack's.

I normally get black from him but I needed a rack fast when I had my March 21st litter... he had a grey one ready to ship so I snagged it. I ended up really liking the color for racks and decided to do all my baby racks in that color.

It also ended up working great as a backdrop!

There is a good bit to the process of getting those pictures though. I dont just snap em off then hostem. They get white balance corrected (makes a huge difference in color accuracy), cropped, resized, and sharpened. For lighting I am using a high end flash (nikon SB-800) that is pointed towards the ceiling of the room, it bounces the light off the ceiling back down to the boas, softening the look of the shot.

Here's the rack/backdrop
