I'm building an outdoor turtle pond and have calculated it at around 1,675 gallons (8X14X2 feet deep on avg./ 3' max depth). I'm thinking of a min. of 100 gallons for every turtle is a good guide. I'll probably actually limit it to about a dozen. Sound right?

Here is the species list that I'll want to include in the pond:
RES / Map Mix-got one, Nic Slider-got one, FL Chicken-prob get 2,
Rio Grande Cooter-prob. get 2, Hieroglyphic Cooter, misc. River Cooter, Texas River Cooter-Clown Yellow Belly/ RES or FL Red Belly, Fl red belly
