I received the snake today and she's in good condition. There's one problem though. She weight 1728g. When I e-mailed you on 4/28 you told me as of the prior Monday she was 2378g and that after she layed her clutch she was 1850g (4/10). I don't see her loosing 650g in that amount of time considering she should only be feeding on rats between 175g-225g for her size. I especially don't see her loosing this much weight if she was 1850g after laying and has eaten "6 plus" times since then. I definitely don't see her normally being a 3000g snake considering she's 1400g less than that now and isn't shinny or anything. I have a female ball that's 56", her normal weight is about 2500g. This snake is 53" I don't see her being 3" shorter and weighing 600g more... I have a local that I usually by my breeder females from and I pay $200 for females that are 2000-2500g. Including shipping I just paid about $300 for one that's now 1728. I could see her maybe being 2300 or so, but not 3000 . I would not have cotton her if I knew the was this much less than what I expected. I expected to at least get a 2300g. I'm happy with the snake, just not her weight... I'm not going try to slander your name or anything, just concerned about the weight differences. Please e-mail me back.
thanks,
Matt

To me it still sounds like a pretty good size female , but if you were told that the snake was a certain weight and you paid that fee for the snake because it was advertised for that weight than I can see why u might have a problem. you could just increase your feedings to get the weight of the snake back up and this would simply solve the problem. I like to purchase all of my females as babies so I can control their weight so I dont have these problems its takes longer but I feel its better in the long run, but I also understand that their are hobbiest out there who dont want to wait that long and have projects where they need adult females immediatly and you always take some form of chance when you do this anyway good luck.

I know what your saying, the math doesnt add up for a snake that size, even after laying her eggs.

I think you did the proper thing by not saying the persons name here. I really think this isnt the place for bad mouthing people for somewhat shady moves.

If someone is totally ripping people off, taking their money and not even shipping anything, that is the only time I feel you post names and email addresses. This is only to protect others and to stop the thief from making anymore stolen money.

I would call the person and explain, line by line, what you feel is wrong with the transaction. Then let THEM explain... Its hard to defend the indefensible.

Then if they refuse to make things right, tell them that word of mouth is the best advertising and that you will be taking any future business elsewhere. Furthermore, state that you will be sure to let all your friends in the snake world what happened to you so they can take their business elswhere too.

I totally agree , I think there should be a blackball list so we all know who to trust who not.
