here is a photo of my new enclosure. it's 5h x 4w x 2d and either it's going to get rocked up and build for some frogs or maybe just for arboreal snakes.
anyway, here it is.

I like it. It would make a great cage for something like a Cave Dwelling Ratsnake or a Spilotes pullatus.
Almost a shame to cover up that bookmatched veneer on the back panel with rockwork, although that would also look nice. Did you do that veneer work yourself or did you find it on a stock sheet of plywood?
What type of carcass construction did you use? All 3/4" ply with dados and rabbets or is the back panel just a thin sheet? How did you attach the face frame?

I only use 1/2 maple or oak. and with some of the A1, at least one side is matched. nice huh. i'm not going to rock it up, not with that stain i used.
i dato teh bottom, sides and top, about a 1/4" in from the back with a router which isn't as easy as I thought when i started doing things this way bit i figured it out. nice if there was a place to learn this stuff...LOL.
Thanks for the comps

I still have some staining to do as you can see but here is a photo as of tonight. I did redo the router on the doors and set the lock ect. fixed in the top and will do two more coats then buff, set glass and it's done.
