Jungle babies!!!

sdi May 04, 2007 11:56 PM

I am so happy right now. I just came in to find a whole bunch of healthy babies. They came 107 days POS. I started buying boas in 2000. Since then I have had four litters now. Two nice size litters, and two litters of five babies. So I am not the most succesful breeder lol. The dam and all the babies look healthy. It feels really good!!!!!

Here is a pretty cool photo of one of them. I will post more photos later when they are cleaned up. It is hard to get a clear photo when my hands are shaking.

I love the jungles!

A couple of the babies are still in their amniotic sac. They have not broken open the sac. Do I let them do it on their own or should I make an opening?

Thanks
Steve

Once they're out of momma the air supply is limited! I always make a little cut for them to stick there head out.. then I let them come out when they're ready. Most often they pop right out! This is what I do...Dan

Congrats again, I hope I helped you when you called me late tonight for some advice. I apoligize if I wasn't that helpful. I was putting away some babies, and I am very tired. Please send me pictures. What a powerful litter this can be for the future.

Very nice!!!! Even though the numbers are low, you're still a successful breeder, something many can only wish for. Time and growth of your collection will lead to more successes in the future. Keep up the good work!!
