Motley x Anery at day 105

kirby May 05, 2007 12:35 AM

I had my first litter of the year tonight. The male is the Motley that produced my Pastel Motley litter last year. The female is my anery female that produced the original ghosts. She produces very clean anerys that retain their color into adulthood and don't show any tan coloration. I am excited about this litter because I think an anery Motley will be a really dramatic high contrast snake and the super anery Motley could be amazing. Obviously these will also be usefull in Motley ghost and snow projects. I will have pics after the first shed.
Congratulations to everyone who has produced the great litters to date and best of luck to all in the remaining breeding season.

Congrats Bill,

I knew you'd get in on the fun sooner or later. I also am sure you probably have a few quiet there are you don't want to post everything you have.

I'm sure they will make AWESEOME ghosts in the future. Ghost Motleys. The Motleys you picked out were some of the best bloodlines you and have been patient and done well. I am sure they will makes ome of the best I'm waiting on a few ghosts to drop too from the Motley. Soon Last year I only had 1 litter, and not enough males to make me feel comfortable so I need some More Hypo Mots and Mots het Anery that are MALE.

best of luck on the litter. I can see your up late. I am too. LOL

Keeping the details close to the vest huh? Sure would love to see a pic of that massive pile of babies in the goo that big girl gave you! Isn't that female the mother of the first Ghosts ever produced as well?

Congrats!

The snakes came late Friday night and I set them up and had to leave so I didn't get a good look at them until today. The babies are good size with nice Motley patterns. They are getting clouded over for shedding already so I will take pictures after they shed. I must thank the young oldtimer Boaphile as he is correct that this female was the mother of the first ghosts and I purchased her from him. She has produced the first ghosts, Arabesques het for anery and now Motleys het for anery. I believe strongly that in working with combination morphs it is important to have the best representataive of each morph to start with that you can; I am very fortunate to have this female who produces such high quality anerys.
Thanks again,
Bill

Glad to hear your breeding season is going well. Looking forward to seeing pics.

On a side note, your post reminded me there should be a package on my way. Any updates?
