proper cage set up question.

Hello, I am looking at getting 1.2 CB green tree pythons. I have had lots of pythons in the past, but dominantly have been doing venomous for the last few years. My question is can I house 3 babies in one enclosure? it is 24" deep, 24" tall, 40" long. It is glass with a screen top (used to be my vivarium project). I know they are pretty lethargic so as babies I was thinking their is enough room for them to have space. I just have visions of a nice vivarium with 3 babies I realize in a year or so once they break 2ft they would need their own cages, but for the time being would this work out well?

Thanks
CD

I would suggest doing more research before acquiring a group of these animals. Here is a good place to start: http://www.finegtps.com/

Keeping more than one together is a very bad idea for a multitude of reasons that I am sure you will learn through researching their care. Also, regardless of the size or number of animals kept together, a glass tank with screen lid is not an appropriate setup.

Good luck,
Bart

You might wake up to 1 less animal. Babies have been known to eat each other.

Multiple critters in one enclosure = More of a pain than it is worth.

You could divide the box you've got or do the old tubs in a cage trick - three small rubbermaid type tubs (like $3 each at wal-mart) placed into that cage for climate control does work just fine as a temporary situation.
