zonata and phyrrus found in same locale

NVENOM8 May 05, 2007 01:10 PM

I was looking for zonata last week in the San Jacintos and the area my buddy and I were hunting has been over collected over the years so we decided to scout out some new locales. We found a nice hillside in the same area and decided to check it out.The area was challenging to access but were able to find a way.We began combing the hillside and spotted a pair of adult phyrrus basking. We were completely blown away because we had only ever found phyrrus in the desert areas around Yucca Valley and the desert side of the San Jacintos usually in the same habitat as rosy boas but not zonata. We always found zonata in the same habitat as helleri but never zonata, helleri AND phyrrus together. We ended seeing 5 phyrrus and one really nice zonata parvirubra along with a few helleri all in the same locale.Has anyone else ever found zonata and phyrrus together in the same locale? I'm trying to download pics of the animals I'm talking about but it's not working. Please e-mail me if your interested in pics of the phyrrus or the parv, thanks Brook infinitewealth4life@hotmail.com

Hey Shannon, long time no hear.I always thought of phyrrus as being a desert snake so I was surprised to find them in habitat so green and so close to water. At any rate it was a very interesting find.Good hearing from you.Later, Brook

Frank should set up some sort of link with paypal where if someone wants the answer to a question you get charged for the answer.

I would agree with that but then the rest of us would miss out on the considerations that follow, of which some are priceless.
