herp spots around oklahoma city

i will be taking a trip to okc in early june and was wondering if anyone knew of any good spots and what I might find there

Your best bets are south and southwest, depending no what you are looking for. Rattlesnakes are fairly common down around the Wichita Mountains, about 90 minutes SW of OKC. Also, good herping south down I-35. The biggest problem is land ownership and where you can hunt. You might check with the folks at the herpetarium at the OKC Zoo, which I think still sponsors a local herp society.
