? CA Boa ?

got4low May 05, 2007 04:46 PM

Anyone know what kind of Boa this is? A Black-Tailed CA Boa is what the guy I bought it from said it was. Is there such a boa?

looks like it could be a central, I don't know what the 'central american black tail boa' nonsense is but some, like the sonoran desert boas usually have black tails, or another type, anery forms of CA boas are lacking all red pigment... so black tails.

So how would I be able to tell if its a Sonoran or an Anery? If it is an Anery would it be Type II? The last Three spots on his tail are solid black, the other ones are mostly black with some scales showing some brown. However all of the ones with brown also have some black on each individual scale.

Thanks

Good luck with him.

I agree with Gus, not Sonoran. Also not Type II Anery, you can see redish brown colors in the tail. And too much brown in the rest of it to be Type II Anery.
