I have a question for KS

Emberball May 06, 2007 12:35 AM

Actually a couple.

1) Is there enough traffic on the Ball Forum Business and Morph and Genetics sub forums to warrant a Sub Forum? I have not done any in depth research, but I see a topic started on the main forum, and it gets say 10-15 posts, and is then moved to one of the Sub Forums, where once moved, the thread dies, and receives maybe one more post 10 days later. I am just wondering if it is worth it to have the sub forums? I think some of the good threads get lost in the sub forums.

2)Has there been any thought in elimitating the Trades section of the classifieds and allow people to include trade options in their ads?

Dave,

It would be nice if they referenced the other posts in the Main Forum.

How much will a Spider be after this season? - AnyPoster
(See: Business Section)

~or~

How do you breed Snowballs? - AnyPoster
(See: Morphs and Genetics)

That way people will know its there and can go and look at it if it interests them. It would only take 2 lines per post.

I don't look at the subforums unless there is a thread that I wanted to put in the WIR that was moved there - but that doesn't happen often. I know the intention was to make things easier to find - but I don't think it's working - I think they need to refine the search engine instead of creating subforums to muddle through.
