Babies

Jeff Clark May 06, 2007 01:07 AM

I knew my female Argentinian Rainbow Boa,Epicrates cenchria alvarezi was about ready to lay her litter. She had been cruising around restlessly for a couple days. I checked on her at 1:30 this morning and she had apparently just finsihed laying these babies.

There are 9 healthy ones and one stillborn. Several of the healthy ones have large yolk sacs attached and I am going to leave them alone to give them a chance to absorb them. This female laid a smaller litter with 5 normals and one set of pint sized twins last year in may.

Nice job Jeff! I have to say, there's somethng about those Argentines that I really like. If I can ever figure out a way to devote more space to this, I may have to hit you up for one or two. They look great,

Bob,
..I am four weeks since surgery now and doing pretty good. Light exercise is going well. I have been mowing the lawn and doing yard work with no problem. Picking up my 45 pound Surinam and having her not cooperate last night was uncomfortable. Hopefully I will go back to work in a couple weeks. I saw in another post that you are doing better some and still having some problems. That is typical for back injuries. It is really frustrating to not be able to do all the things that were easy before.
Good luck,
Jeff
