Albino Leopard Gecko

crested_beardies May 06, 2007 05:34 AM

I got this albino leopard gecko from work, I adopted him because his eyes are very swollen. He is so cute, the only problem is that he really can't see anything because of his eyes, I know that the eyes are there, he opens them all the way once in a while. I feel really bad for him, he has been to the vet twice, and has been on three different meds including erythromycin. Does anyone have a clue about him? I really want to help him, all he has been eating for about 2 and 1/2 weeks is a special leopard gecko slurry, which he seems to really like, but I still wish he could hunt crickets!

Eye probs are common with albinos especialy babies. Keep squirting in some good eye drops that have lots of vitamins. Make sure to squirt it in hard enough that it flushes anything out or it wont go away.

Make sure his temps are right and he is not exposed to humidity. I have seen plenty of eye problems happen cause of people getting this stupid notion that they are supposed to be in anywhere from 40 - 60% humidity.
