Alot of talk about making morphs cheap.

dougle May 06, 2007 10:28 AM

I am just curious their is alot of talk about making all of these wanted visuals cheaply and I just dont see this to be the case, and if it is please advise some of us in detail, I would love to make whites and coral glows and if I could start projects at 1grand-2grand that would be great, individuals are posting that this can be done and is being done but they dont give any instruction on how to do it? I am one who is like a sponge when it comes to this hobby/buisness , I am still a tadpole in a pond full of grown bullfrogs so please you bullfrogs out there tell me and others and details how do you start coral glow and white projects without going broke all respones are welcome.

All you have to do is go to the classified section and I see where someone is selling a Het Ivory project, with full grown animals, that you can make a white snake with next season for $1500?

There are books!

They are great resources.

I already have kevins book and it is great , what I am talking about is something that is more detailed , like a line breeding book that gives you very detailed info on morph breeding complete instruction from start to finish on creating all the morphs that are out there .

joshhutto May 06, 2007 06:55 PM

creating these designer morphs is not done by line breeding, it's done by breeding different animals with the same genetic mutation regardless of lineage. Kevin's book is very good and every morph that was created at the time of writing, which caused it to be a little out-dated within 6 months but does tell you how to make the common or well known crosses in depth.

go to shows here...get an adult yellowbelly male for $150..take it home and throw it in with girls.....alot of them won't breed and take awhile to eat so maybe this won't be the year for kiddies.....anyways..feed them and keep them till they greed and make kids then breed the kids to him or each other (yellowbelly girl kids).......then you just made an ivory for $150 plus years plus girls.........

see.......you thought I was full of it.......

........buy a pair of yellowbelly for what? one grand....less?.

.....buy a pair of mojave for $1G ? this year

....buy a pair of lessers this year for under $2G.....

........any questions?

WHAT?

qiksilver5 May 06, 2007 12:51 PM

what ever happened to enjoying the animals you keep? Don't just go out and buy animals you think will make you money, do some research on where you wanna go with you projects and buy what you like, to make money you have to spend money... and at this point i'll end my rant.
