either emoryi or calligaster (praire king)?
Those twin spots almost look like a Hypsiglena, though I know they are only in the extreme south of the state.

You won emoryi. Almost threw it back without a pic. It had double dots on 1/3 of its body. Line breeding should produce a striped or double dotted snake. Here are more pics.
