the right stuff? sperm goo?

fliptop May 06, 2007 08:50 PM

Well, I think I got my hopes up this afternoon. Can anyone tell me if what appears below is the right stuff, meaning my albino yellow mated with my white-sided yellow? Please? Thanks! Note: the few times I've bred snakes in the past, they've always done it in front of me (and I've never bred them on newspaper)--therefore, this guesswork is new to me. These yellows are shy, and I've put them on newspaper due to reading about problems with substrate interference and also to be able to spot out sperm spillage.

I think your male got lucky. Put them together again in a few days to make sure. Good luck with your breeding project.

Thanks!

Since the female's post-brumation shed, to avoid missing the "right time", I've actually been keeping them together (I've read mixed things on this--as on everything--but they seem to be doing fine--and I guess the sperm attests to that!). I do separate them during feeding.

Thanks again!
