Will It Heat?

eminart May 06, 2007 11:53 PM

I've bought some supplies to build a nicer rack for my hatchlings. I got the 12 quart size sterilite containers. I have one of the 23ft heat cables, but I don't know if that will be enough to heat 10 tubs. How many "passes" of heat cable will I need to create a sufficient hot spot? Anybody know?

I use two passes about 2 inches apart.

Hmmmmmmmmmm if two passes is enough, I THINK I can make it work for 10 tubs. I'm going to do so experimenting before I try it though to make sure I can get it hot enough. If not, I'll make one rack for 8 tubs and figure something out for the rest.
