at one point i did start a list of ppl that could take rescues. if you like i can add you to my list, its not too often that i hear of animals in need of rescue but will keep you in mind, also i know there is a reptile rescue in salem. and it has been a while since i posted the question so i'll try it again and see if there are any new people.

so everyone that can take rescues please post on this thread and tell us what you can take, if someone finds one that needs to be rescued we know who to contact.

thanks
Samuel

Well -

I can take just about anything - if it has a cage.

If there is no cage I can take anything that will go in a desert or tropical setting. I have 1 29 G, a 15 long, and a 65G reptarium empty at the moment. I have a complete misting system for my humid zone - and I have a hot zone as well.

I would like to stay away from spders and scorps as I have alergic reations to their stings..however if I have to I will. Id rather get a shot than see an emporer die...

I am in Lafayette, and I can take just about anything. From little to big, whatever. The only thing I don't have experience in is Amphibians. My husband also does spiders and scorps. Most of our animals are rescues, of some type or another. Let me know if you need a phone number, or address or something.

I live in Cave Junction and can take tortoises, box turtles and Iguanas. I also know of a good rehabber in cal that can take almost anything.

Hi Samuel,

We do herp rescues in Salem, in conjunction with Dr. Arthur Mills (our vet). We haven't met anyone else that does them here - if you have that name/number, we can get in touch with them to coordinate efforts.

We can take almost anything - with the exception of something large enough to eat our Scottish terrier... we need him to wrangle the crickets!

We currently keep/breed/import chameleons; exotic geckos; skinks; frogs. We have our facility in Silverton, but our house in Salem has herps everywhere too. Our number is 503-856-8950

I have a reptile rescue in Salem. I mainly deal with smaller reptiles and my specialty is bearded dragons. I coordinate with another reptile rescue in Vancouver, WA and another one here in Salem as well. Between the three of us, we can take in all sorts of reptiles and haven't had to turn one down yet. My website is below for more info on me and the rescue.

I live in Vancouver and work for Kindred Spirits, a Reptile Welfare Org in Polsbo, WA. The reptile rescue you mention in Vancouver... is it SWWIR??? I am interested in finding out about more groups in my area since I am just a small in-home chapter of the large group in Polsbo. Thanks!
