Thayeri projects,...........

MichelleRogers May 07, 2007 11:26 AM

I know everyone on this forum loves thayeri but what one project with them is your most favortie? I myself have been working on reducing the black to none. On the second note I love msp's so I am starting a mew msp project which now that i have orange cheek it should go well. I am just interested in what are some of your favorite thayeri projects so, thank you in advance to all that share your interest.

This is my most antisipated pairing. I'm hoping (fingers crossed) to get several green ones from them.

i have posted a bunch of pics of this pair that i am excited about for when the time comes, they are an 06 pair. the male is from Michelle Rogers, and is reduced black, and the female is from Dan V. Its real nice here in Burlington Vermont today so i though i would use some of my new sandstone peices to take some photos in the sunny back yard

Adam,

Their pairing should produce some very interesting offspring...can't wait to see them. By the way, it's nice to know where that Serpentdan animal went...she was gone before I could get the funds together to acquire her...rats!

Since my Thayeri addiction is less than two years...and growing stronger every day...I'm posting a photo of one of my thayeri's from Tim G....with her last two sheds, she has started developing a two-toned look that is green-gray dorsally and gray-pink laterally...she's very complicated and with exception of her "pattern" and head markings, she bears little resemblance to what she looked like when I first acquired her last year...

Unfortunately my camera doesn't accurately capture her "colors" in life but this cropped photo provides a "dull" idea of her appearance...I don't know if she will retain this color "theme" when she fully matures (I hope so) but, I'm enjoying it right now...

Man! I LOVE THAYERI'S!!!!

Later,
Jim.

She is beautiful, she is the one I was wondering where she went to, I had emailed Tim and then waited and she was sold....lol
It is nice to know where she went too. Great pic btw.

Michelle,

Thanks...I really like your NO BLACK project...very interesting.

Well in addition to a box of Thayeri eggs...I've learned some disappointment as well on the acquisition side of things...and I've learned that I never have enough money to feed my addiction...

Has Orange Cheek been sweet with his girlfriend yet?

Later,
Jim.

Thanks Jim, the no black project has probaly went into and obsession and now past the project part...lol..
Orange cheek is a true Romeo and she is not interested, she is going into a shed right now so maybe after the shed she will give in. I had 1 or 2 do the same last year, it just makes me crazy.

Michelle,

But's it's a good "crazy" eh?

I guess Thayeri's are "obsessive" aren't they? Besides, if you're not taking care of your "zoo", what else would you do?

Later,
Jim.

PS: I can't wait to hear the good news after she sheds...

MichelleRogers May 07, 2007 08:14 PM

Yea, it is a good crazy I don't think there is anything else I would rather be doing. The zoo is a lot of up keep...lol..
I am also hoping once the shed the female will have her blinders off and realize just how awesome orange cheek is and have his children. I am begging her now...lol.

Michelle...

You're killing me! Are you suggesting that certain parts of the chicken can be used for other things beside gumbo rue?

Nahhhhh!

Just a little Gris-Gris...Ha! Ha!

Later,
Jim.

MichelleRogers May 08, 2007 04:24 PM

It all depends, what you want gumbo or fertility in your thayeri....lol... You know they have to use those feet and heads for something,

CSRAJim May 09, 2007 09:44 AM

Michelle,

I'd prefer Thayeri fertility as opposed to finding feet & heads left on my doorstep or nailed to my door...

Because of where I grew up, it's better not to rile Hoodoo's...it's always best to share a Community with them because they make great friends but, I wouldn't want to have to look over my shoulder...

Me neither, they freak me out....lol. I really get freaked out when you go to N.O. and you see the shops that sell that stuff. I have been in a few but didn't touch nothin I don't want no creepy crawlys around my house. If it goes bump in the night I want to know the cat did it.....lol...

Here! Here! A "herpers" life is a box of Thayeri eggs...you never know what you're gonna' get...

Is that large pink for me?

Love those subtle colors, that crazy split saddle pattern and her blue-ish face.
-----
Mike

CSRAJim May 08, 2007 08:35 AM

Mike,

Thanks...

When I first acquired her she was a darker chocolate-brown buckskin with a dark gray face...but they are Variable King Snakes...Ha! Ha!

As I am learning with my Thayeri's that in addition to a "box of Thayeri eggs", there is a definite "variation" between their hatchling/juvenile appearance as opposed to how they will turn out with maturity for some of them...what a treat from the Thayeri gods...Ha! Ha!

Later,
Jim.
