My local pet store was out of small rats so I got my female bull a chick, and she went crazy on it. This was her first attempt.

This was her 2nd attempt. When in doubt start from the other side. lol. This the first time I've ever fed snakes chicks. I also fed a chick to my adult male hondo that hadn't eaten in about 2 months and he scarfed it right down. Now I need to find a smaller chick to feed to my female hondo who has stopped eating also.

A lot of snakes love to "fowl" up their diet. I used to feed adult chickens to some Boas back in my college days. I learned to regret it... Snake feces is even more stinky/runny on a fowl diet. Cool pics. I showed 'em to my students this morning to wake them all up.

i incorporate F/T quail in my snakes diet, they go nuts for it, i also feed the quail to my pyxie frog

this Feed store by me has baby turkeys for $4.50 each.
... but dont you notice the messier droppings from a fowl diet??

I would be concerned with them catching coccidia(?sp) or salmonella from eating the fowl. The ones you buy that have been frozen are usually okay to feed but the animals coming from the feed store fresh could be carrying something that you don't want, this is usually what causes the runny foul smelling fecal matter.

Yeah i wouldnt buy from a feed store, but i get mine from rodent pro (i dont get paid to advertise) and they are good quality
