walking a skink?

skinkgirl May 07, 2007 05:41 PM

I was getting some crickets form petco today when I saw a T-rex (brand) lizard leash. The brand comes in a variety of sizes, all the way down to xxsmall, small enough for "anoles, etc." and I was wondering, does anyone every walk their Schneider's/berber skinks? I have one who seems to be bored a lot of the time and thought he might enjoy a nice walk but I really have no idea.

I'm not real familiar with Schneiders skinks, but I can't imagine any skink liking to be taken for a walk. I'd be afraid he'd spaz out and get hurt . They just don't seem like harnessable critters.

yeah I thought that might be the case. He does seem rather spastic...even in the terrarium.

Xxsmall is really quite ridiculous, isn't it? Pet stores market the darnest things, many not at all needed/usable for the animal it's associated with. I imagine a skink is a lot like walking a snake LOL, but an anole... good god!
