This next set includes the ever-present black racer, a fat little dusky pigmy rattlesnake, and a good close-up on a six-lined racerunner. I almost touched the racerunner with the camera before he bolted.
This last set includes a couple of alligators, and a yellow ratsnake. The pond where we saw the baby gators had eight or more in a very small pond. The yellow ratsnake was a bit nippy, but calmed down pretty quick. We were also treated to some torrential downpour with a good amount of hail. Hopefully we can get a few more showers like that. All said and done, it was a good day for herping indeed.
Nice stuff, I like the first water snake shot! Some day I hope to get over there and taste Florida!
