JAKARTA POST (Indonesia) 30 April 07 Crocodiles spotted in Medan river
Medan, North Sumatra: Four crocodiles have been spotted by Aur hamlet residents in the Deli River, in Medan Maimun district, Medan.
Resident Budi Syahputra Bangun said Friday it was the first time crocodiles had been seen in the river.
"We saw four crocodiles and managed to capture one of them, but the other three escaped," he said.
Medan Maimun district chief Arfan Harahap warned residents to avoid the river until the remaining crocs had been captured.
