Kuala Lumpur: Pos Malaysia Bhd will release a set of special stamps called Frogs of Malaysia on Thursday at post offices nationwide.
The latest offering, along with the first day cover, features a collection of frogs and toads found in Malaysia.
“Malaysia is among 20 countries with a high number of amphibian species, including frogs and toads.
“The frogs and toads featured in our collection are some of the rarest in the world, found in forests and mangrove swamps across the country,” explained Pos Malaysia chief executive officer Datuk Idrose Mohamed.

“By releasing these stamps, we hope to convey the importance of conserving nature for our future generations, as well as to educate the public about these colourful and unique amphibians.”
The stamps are available in two denominations.
The Brown Tree Toad stamps cost 30 sen each while the Horned Toad and Spotted Tree Frog stamps cost 50 sen each.
Another stamp, featuring the Lesser Swamp Frog, is available at RM1.
Presentation packs are RM4 each and folders are priced at RM5, while the entire set will cost RM38.90.
Stamp collectors can also join the Standing Order Deposit Account through any post office or online at www.posonline.com.my to obtain their special issue stamps without the hassle of queuing or missing any issues.
